Which Zodiac Signs Suffer from Low Self-esteem? Does Aquarius Suffer from Low Self-esteem?

While there is more to a person’s astrology than their Sun sign; we can use simple Sun sign astrology to take a guess as to whether Aquarius folk have low self-esteem. Certainly they can lack self-confidence when young and one of this sign’s spiritual challenges is to develop greater self-confidence so that they can make an even greater impact on the world. But does a lack of self-confidence automatically mean that the Aquarian has low self-esteem? No it does not. Although the words self-confidence and self-esteem are often used interchangeably they are not the same.

Self-confidence refers to how you feel about your ability. Self-esteem refers to how you feel about yourself – naturally it includes how you feel about your abilities but includes many other factors. This means that a person who lacks self-confidence in certain areas may still have healthy self-esteem.  Of course building self-confidence helps build self-esteem and one area where the Aquarian usually has plenty of self-confidence is the intellectual arena. Most Aquarians rate their intellectual abilities very highly. They also take a great deal of pride in their charitable and humanitarian activities.

Whether the Aquarian has high or low self-esteem often depends on how comfortable they are with being seen as ‘different’ or ‘out there’. Many Aquarians thrive on being seen as different from the herd and take great pride in being seen as unconventional and cutting edge. There are also plenty of Aquarians out there who genuinely don’t give a monkey’s about how other folk view them.  Nope, it’s not a defence mechanism; they really don’t care. Other Aquarians, however, find being misunderstood or seen as odd somewhat distressing which can lead to self-esteem issues.
