Concentration Meditation (Vipassana)

You can also try techniques like concentration meditation, where the mind is fixated on a process such as the breath or an object such as a candle. This helps you to learn to focus and concentrate, really engaging the PFC, paying full attention to your experience in that moment.

Any thoughts can be labelled and blithely disregarded, as if you were standing on a bridge over a freeway and watching traffic go by. “There’s a BMW, here’s a Mercedes, oh, and there goes another truck”. Consider this an exercise in defragmenting and clearing the mind, enabling you to see any toxic residue for what it is, put it into perspective and let go of it.
